Northern Ohio Association of Herpetologists
Mission Statement
The primary objective of NOAH shall be the education of members of NOAH and the general public with respect to the conservation, ecological role, captive care and breeding of reptiles and amphibians.
About NOAH
The Northern Ohio Association of Herpetologists is a Section 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization made up of amateur and professional herpetoculturists
who want to share their knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendship with
others interested in these fascinating creatures.
Notes from NOAH is our nationally acclaimed monthly
newsletter. Nationally known writers and local members alike have
contributed to its pages. Members with interesting experiences or
anecdotes are encouraged to submit
articles.
NOAH general meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Interested members of the public are welcome at all NOAH general
meetings. At our meetings we feature speakers on subjects such as
conservation, care and medical treatment, captive breeding, field
studies, as well as many other interesting areas of herpetology.
Members are encouraged to bring their pets, relate their many experiences,
and share their knowledge. Meetings are held at the Rocky River
Nature Center, located at 24000 Valley Parkway in North Olmsted
(for directions, see the map ). The doors open at 7 PM and the meetings
begin promptly at 7:30 PM and conclude by 10 PM.
In addition, NOAH organizes and participates in a number of live
shows, exhibits, and captive-bred showcases. Our members have a
wide variety of herps which can be seen and usually handled at our
events.
